This pendant is made from 3 layers of metal. The bottom layer is a spoon bowl, the middle layer is copper, and the top layer is a hand made reticulated leaf. Reticulated just means that the silver was heated to a high temperature and the leaf then took on some bubbling characteristics. I makes a great texture. The pendant has a 3 dimensional feel. I polished this piece and then put a satin finish in it. It has no ixidation or decoration for a sleek modern look. I love it on this satin finished snake chain, but it is a short chain so I will switch if needed. I will swap chains****
