I was really pleased to be able to purchase this beautiful Pigeon Blood Agate cabochon. In the close up one can see how it gets it's name. I chose to set this stone on one of my very large vintage sterling spoon bowls because of the fantastic spoon design on both the front and the back. The feel of this pendant is so smooth to the touch. When I wear the spoon bowl pendants I find myself rubbing the backs with my thumb. You can just tell the age of the sterling by it's softness. The pendant is very heavy and I've included a gorgeous Italian sterling silver chain which in itself can be worn alone. The bail on this pendant, as well as all of my pendants, is large enough to make it easy to remove the pendant from the chain. That makes it convenient to switch chain lengths for this pendant depending upon what type of neckline you are wearing.
