This pendant is one of my favorites. The sterling is really white and shiny- I used no oxidation because I wanted a nice sharp contrast between the silver and the turquoise. The oval Sleeping beauty cab has a twisted wire frame and is nestled in the roses on the spoon handle. they sure don't design sterling flatware with this kind of detail today. The back of this pendant is also detailed with swirly pattern. Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes from the Sleeping Beauty mine in the SW USA and is highly prized for it's clear occlusion free sky blue color. I have curved the spoon hand to the back to act as the bail and if needed it can be removed from this chain and added to a different chain. The chain I chose to highlight this pendant is a 20" faceted sterling rope chain with a nice sized lobster clasp.
