| As I said on my About Me page my trip to Norway influenced my silversmithing. The jewelry I saw there, and bought there, had a design and grace that is known worldwide. I loved it and still do. I wanted to use the concepts and make a style of my own so I reduced the quantity of the wires used and made them much thicker. Instead of buying filigree wire I twist and slightly flatten my own wire. Everywhere the silver touches itself there is a solder join. I use square wire as the basic frame for the filigree work. To make each piece sturdy and hard they are tumbled for 8 hours. I think the result is jewelry that has a substantial, graceful, timeless style. | ||
